"One girl was 12 or 13 and the one girl was 42 years old and they're both in their own way, incredible. And the audience loved them and I'm happy with what we've got so far."
Meanwhile, he said the Americans were warming to Cheryl despite her being virtually unknown there.
Simon said: "Most British people that come over to these shows seem to be mean or rude. But Cheryl, she's not like that. The audience really warmed to her."
But he admitted he wasn't a fan of the voluminous hairstyle she sported for the first day of auditions in LA.
He quipped: "I wasn't really taken by Cheryl's hair. It was the equivalent of her using five gallons of hairspray and then standing in the middle of a hurricane."

Whats ON TV quoted the actress as saying that, “I am thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders, the show is a real British institution with an extraordinary creative team. I’m really looking forward to working with June again, who I have been friends with for over 30 years.”
The website revealed the plot of the show. Polly will play the role of Rose who is a sister of Dot. The sisters have not talked for a long time because Rose had an affair with Dot’s former husband Charlie Cotton. In the series, Dot will eventually decide to contact Rose to ensure peace. Rose was not as eager as Dot to bury the hatchet.
Polly’s character will be the younger sister of Dot and her lifestyle is expected to be similar to that of Dot.
This is not the first time that Polly will be playing in a television show. In the 1990s, Polly was part of the soap Eldorado. Polly played the role of Trish Valentine in the series.

The Roland Garros WTA Tour also known as the French Open is currently taking place in Paris, and today Scotland’s Andy Murray advances into round three after a straight sets win over Simone Bolelli of Italy. He will now face either Michael Berrer of Germany or Arnaud Clement of France.

Piers Newbery of BBC Sport is reporting that Murray won the match 7-6 (7-3) 6-4 7-5 on a windy day in Paris. Murray began the match 2.0 up against Bolelli who is now way down at number 126 in the world rankings.

The match began in a low-key fashion with most of the crowd had disappeared after the match before. Both men made early errors with Murray’s inconsistent serving the main difference. Murray was behind twice in the first set with double faults causing the most damage.

In the final set the Italian had the chance to win the match, but three errors gave Murray the opportunity to convert his 13th break point and finally serve out the match.

Edward Stobart: Lorry Magnate Died Bankrupt. Haulage magnate Edward Stobart died bankrupt, it has emerged. Documents show Mr Stobart, who built Cumbria's Eddie Stobart haulage firm into a household name, petitioned for bankruptcy in July 2010.

Mr Stobart, who sold the company in 2004, had personal debts of £220,000 when he died on 31 March, aged 56, as a a result of heart problems.

The businessman, who lived in Warwickshire, took over a lorry trailer firm which failed in 2009.

Edward Stobart had petitioned for bankruptcy at Warwick County Court and his name is listed on the national Insolvency Register.

His occupation is listed as a company director and promoter and his status as bankrupt. This status was due for automatic discharge on 5 July, 2011.

RSM Tenon, the insolvency firm which original dealt with the case, said: "Known creditors have claims amounting to around £220,000. No material assets have yet been recovered."

Mr Stobart took over his father's Cumbrian firm in 1976 and built it into one of the most well-known haulage companies in the world.

Holden told this week's Buzz magazine: "This year feels like I've been in my own movie. This weird, wonderful, awful, tragic movie."

She added: "My happy ending would be another baby."

Holden previously revealed that the couple, who are parents to daughter Lexi, will turn "negatives into positives", adding that she is "optimistic" about having more children.

The 40-year-old is currently appearing as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical and will be reunited with Simon Cowell on the Britain's Got Talent live shows next week.
